Management Profile

Mitchell Lederman - President

Education:  M.B.A. degree in Management and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia, B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  Elected to and member of Tau Beta Pi - National Engineering Honor Society.  University of Virginia Institute of Nuclear Power Operations fellow.

Corporate Work Experience:  Worked as a nuclear engineer from 1983 through 1987 at Bechtel Power Corporation, a global Fortune 100 engineering and construction company, and Northeast Utilities, a Fortune 500 energy services company.  From 1987 through 1993, worked in both staff and line management capacities in the Finance and Treasury departments of Northeast Utilities.

Practical experience encompassed the areas of business, finance, accounting, engineering, planning, regulatory relations, human resources, and administration.  Had line management responsibility overseeing a group responsible for financial and strategic planning.  Major activities included nuclear power plant licensing, business divestiture, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term trust fund administration and funding.  Also led the development of a pilot-program to prioritize and schedule multi-million dollar capital programs that ultimately was proposed to and accepted by the federal government as a break-through strategic planning tool for nuclear utilities.  


Employment Management and Consulting Services Experience: Moved to South Florida in 1993 and entered the executive search management and consulting business.  Successfully performed hundreds of searches and assignments in many functional areas (including accounting, engineering, finance, general management, human resources, information technology, legal, logistics, operations, planning, and sales & marketing) over a wide range of industries and company sizes (several million dollars to several billion dollars).  Positions covered ranged from junior-level staff through senior management (President, Senior Vice-President, etc.)

Community:  Serve on several community boards and committees.  Coach flag football, Little League baseball, girl’s softball and recreational soccer.
